Streacom BC1 V2 Open Benchtable in review – Open World up to E-ATX and without useless gimmicks

📖 Reading time: approx. 7 minutes · 1,265 words · 7,557 characters

Streacom was founded in the Netherlands back in 2010 and has since focused on developing high-quality aluminum enclosures, especially in the area of small form factor and passive cooling. Besides the highly successful Streacom DA2, the company also offers a completely different type of case. As part of the “Open Benchtable Project”, Streacom has designed two open benchtables together with its partners. About a year ago, the BC1 and BC1 Mini received a new revision with the V2 after various feedback from users. In this review, we’ll take a look at the Streacom BC1 V2 today.

Similar to the previous version, the Streacom BC1 V2 convinces with its clever minimalist design. This makes it possible to quickly and flexibly set up and reconfigure components or entire PC systems. In addition, the benchtable can now also be set up vertically. The Streacom BC1 V2 supports mainboards and power supplies in ATX format, is made of robust aluminum and is available in silver, black and titanium color variants. The current street price is around 129 euros.

Scope of delivery

The Streacom BC1 V2 is delivered in a flat cardboard box made of high-quality, unprinted cardboard. The manufacturer and name of the Benchtable are printed on a separate brown strip that is glued to the packaging and also serves as a seal. Once the seal is cut, the cardboard can be opened to reveal the BC1 V2, which is protected by additional foam elements. The packaging has magnets so that it can be closed again without any problems. No other accessories are included, and Streacom has omitted printed assembly instructions for environmental reasons. However, these can be viewed digitally.
