MaxSun presents the world’s first GeForce RTX 4090 GPU with five fans

MaxSun recently introduced its Mega Gamer (MGG) series, making its debut a few months ago with the release of the RTX 4080 and RTX 4070 Ti SKUs. These graphics cards offer a unique design approach from MaxSun, a company known for its playful product names like “Terminator” and “McDonald’s.” One notable feature of this series lies in its cooling system, which maintains a slim 3-slot profile and integrates a total of five fans. Interestingly, two of these smaller fans, referred to as part of the “Air Boost” system, are inconspicuously positioned on the side. In contrast, the larger 10 cm and 11 cm fans efficiently direct air to a solid heatsink, while the smaller fans are designed to facilitate heat dissipation.

A closer look reveals that the latest addition to the MGG series, the RTX 4090, will adopt a similar cooling configuration to its predecessor, the RTX 4080. Both graphics cards are set to adopt an identical cooling approach, which includes a heat dissipation area of 7000 mm² and a comprehensive vapor chamber cover.

Another notable feature is the removable, USB-powered screen. This screen consists of an array of LEDs that users can customize to add personalized text or graphics, further enhancing the card’s unique design. The RTX 4090 MGG is introduced as a factory overclocked version and features a boost clock of 2580 MHz, which is a 2.4% overclock from base specifications.

It is important to note that the card has an official TDP rating of 450W and there is no information about possible changes to the power limits. Traditionally, MaxSun GPUs are mainly targeted at the Chinese domestic market, although they are also available on global e-commerce platforms like Aliexpress. Unfortunately, the company has not made any updates on its official store regarding the RTX 40 series until the current time. This suggests that the availability of the RTX 4090 MGG might be limited to China, positioning it as an exclusive offering for that particular region.

Erinnert mich irgendwie an die Gigabyte Super Overclock... Was genau sollen denn bitte die kleinen Lüfterlein groß bewirken? Die produzieren vermutlich erst ab 5000U/min einen marginalen Airflow, dienen also in erster Linie als Lärmquelle.

Wenn es wenigstens echtes OC wäre....
Hatte bisher nicht den Eindruck,dass eine 450 Watt RTX 4090 in irgend einer Weise
Probleme hätte, mit dem klassischen Kühler, die Wärme sehr gut abzuführen.

Keine Ahnung wer mit solchen Ideen am Ende vom Monat noch Gehalt bekommt :D

So wie es ist, eher ein Gimmick. Aber auch eine verpasste Chance: wenn die zwei kleinen Lüfter wenigstens etwas Abwärme (Warmluft) aus dem Gehäuse blasen würden, könnten die zwei kleinen Lüfter sogar Sinn machen. Das Teil ist dick genug dazu (3 Slots), und man sieht auch gut in einem der Bilder, daß da durchaus Platz für kleine Lüfter ist. Ein "partial blower" Design hätte wenigstens etwas für sich.

Mich würde mal interessieren, was passiert, wenn man die GPU quasi mit einer Art Schlauch Blower mäßig mit nem 120 oder 140er Lüfter der direkt Luft an der Gehäuse front ansaugt funktioniert

Vielleicht werd ich sowas mal mit meiner 6600xt ausprobieren xD

Mit 3x 40mm Lüfter hatte ich mir mal was für den Ram zum Kühlen gebastelt, war auch eher so lala von der Kühlleistung her

OEMs machen so ähnliche Sachen gerne. Oft bei CPUs (einen Schacht, der Frischluft von der Seitentüre auf den Top-Blow Kühler bringt), bei GPUs aber auch mal. Nur meist nicht ideal, weil man die Lüfter nach wie vor auf dem Kühler belässt, wo die Größe eingeschränkt ist.
Man muss bei deiner Idee halt sicherstellen, dass die Luft auch wirklich an der GPU ankommt. Und die Regelung ist etwas schwieriger, weil der Lüfter baulich getrennt ist. Aber alles nichts tragisches, kann man mit genügend Zeit sicher bauen.

Naja, 3x40mm Lüfter zum RAM kühlen ist vermutlich immer noch besser als die Dell Precision Workstations mit Lüftern auf den FB-Dimms, die wir so vor grob 10 Jahren im Büro hatten. Die Lüfter waren unerträglich laut, weil glaube ich um die 7000U/min oder so, um die stromfressenden FB-Dimms ausreichend kühl zu halten.
