Intel claims that the performance per dollar of the Arc A750 is better than that of the RTX 3060 with the latest driver update, and has released some new performance data to go with it. To fix issues, provide game-on support and boost performance, Intel says it has worked to improve the Arc GPU drivers. The latest beta update of Arc GPU Graphics Drivers 101.4311 brought several game-on optimizations as well as some performance improvements. These were mainly concentrated on the Arc A750 and DirectX 12 and were between 4 and 63 percent, depending on the game and resolution, according to Intel. Fine Wine in Blue?
Deciding on a graphics card can be a challenging task, especially when you have to deal with different specifications and prices. In this context, it is important to consider some important factors in order to make a sound decision. An important factor when choosing a graphics card is the memory. The RTX 3060 has a larger memory of 12 GB GDDR6 compared to the Arc A750, which only has 8 GB GDDR6 memory.
This might be a significant advantage of the RTX 3060 over the Arc A750 at first glance. However, this is not the only important specification to look out for. The Arc A750 has a 256-bit memory interface as opposed to the RTX 3060’s 192-bit interface. This gives the Arc A750 a higher maximum memory bandwidth of 512 GB/s compared to the RTX 3060, which only reaches 360 GB/s. This means that the Arc A750 has a faster data transfer rate, improving the performance of the graphics card.
Another important factor when deciding on a graphics card is the price. The Intel Arc A750 is significantly cheaper than the RTX 3060 12 GB, which sells for around 315 Euros (~$225). This means that you can save money by buying the Arc A750 and get a powerful graphics card at the same time.It is therefore important to consider all relevant factors such as memory, memory interface, price and other specifications before making a final decision. Although the RTX 3060 has more memory, the Arc A750’s higher maximum memory bandwidth and lower price make it an attractive alternative for gamers and professionals who need a powerful graphics card and can currently get by with DirectX 12,
According to Intel’s own slides, a decent performance improvement in several games was primarily brought about by the latest driver update. But more importantly, it’s enough to give the Intel Arc A750 an edge and push it ahead of the RTX 3060 12 GB graphics card, at least in the Dead Space Remake game. Although Nvidia quotes a slightly higher price for the RTX 3060 12 GB, the Arc A750 still offers more performance per dollar, at least in some games. Of course, NVIDIA still has the RT and DLSS aces up its sleeve. And so, in the end, it probably remains an interesting foil for the time being, which of course also needs to be verified first.
