Attack on the top dogs? TechN presents an innovative CPU cooler that is particularly suitable for Socket AM4 (but not only)

The new TechN CPU Waterblock for AMDs Socket AM4 is to be a cooler of the absolute top class and will extend the TechN portfolio with a high-quality custom water cooler, according to the manufacturer. That sounds like an ambitious plan, so I’m already working on a test with two other very popular coolers. TechN advertises with the highest precision in manufacturing, unmatched performance, seamless design and a luxurious feel. Things that of course need to be questioned in a test.

A novel geometry and appropriate choice of materials should help to improve the cooling performance even further. Add to that the nickel-plated base plate and an anodized aluminum cover including Plexiglas and you have minimal gaps, recessed springs and a new premium backplate. What the block really brings at the end is of course reserved for the test, which I will publish soon. To do this, I again use standardized test conditions, the chiller and a large expansion tank for a possibly identical test environment for all three test candidates.
