First of all good news for everyone, because I was able to catch a sign of life from Yuri again. He is alive, healthy and passes his sleepless nights working on the Hydra update. So, as it were, eyes (not) closed and through, even if it is becoming increasingly difficult, because the Russian aggressor is slowly “warming up” to the city and the destruction of civilian residential areas and infrastructure is assuming ever more absurd proportions. But escape is not a solution either.
Currently Yuri is back at his parents’ house near the city center, his own apartment has already been hit twice and he’s probably lost pretty much everything he couldn’t take with him by now. According to Yuri, the weapons used are also becoming more sophisticated, almost exclusively targeting residential-only areas on purpose. Here is an original quote from our chat yesterday:
Let’s keep our fingers crossed for Yuri and all those affected that their courageous resistance will pay off, that they will survive and that the Russian aggressors will all get their just punishment one day! To systematically bomb a city of 1.5 million into rubble while it is still full of people is beyond any normal imagination. And for all the procrastinators and would-be neutrals of this world, I have a quote from Dante Alighieri that is unfortunately still current and that all the serving Scholzomaten and Nehämmer of this world should take to heart:
In this sense, just think about it. Thank you!
