An alleged image of an Intel Core i9-14900KS CPU was discovered by HXL (@9550pro) on the QQ social media channel. The picture shows a CPU that reads “Intel Core i9-14900KS”. However, there are reports stating that it cannot be confirmed whether it is actually a real chip or a fake. Certain parts of the chip, such as the QR code and the PCB label, have been cut out. This leads to the assumption that either the author of the image wanted to hide the source or that it is simply a fake, as attaching fake stickers to a heatspreader is a common practice.

There have been reports about the Intel Core i9-14900KS processor on the internet for some time now. A few months ago, it became known that Intel was working on this chip, and then entries from retailers appeared. So far, however, there is no concrete information about it. In terms of specifications, the Intel Core i9-14900KS desktop CPU is expected to have the same configuration as the Core i9-14900K. It is said to have 24 cores, divided into 8 P-cores and 16 E-cores, as well as 32 threads and a boost clock of up to 6.20 GHz.
This clock rate would be 200 MHz higher than that of the Core i9-13900KS and the Core i9-14900K, which both operate at a clock rate of up to 6.0 GHz. The CPU is also said to have 36 MB L3 cache and 32 MB L2 cache. This would make it the fastest chip on the market, surpassing the 14900K & 13900KS. Intel plans to introduce another “KS” chip for the LGA 1700 socket around CES 2024. This indicates that the Core i9-14900KS can be expected this year, similar to the Core i9-13900KS.
And if that’s not enough, take an old Core i9-13900K and play Mafia II. Then the 10 GHz will also work without a fake IHS. The exclusive picture proof comes from igor’sLAB 😀
