Today we welcome another brand in the highly competitive market of AiO complete water coolers, as Sharkoon now also offers three models. I have often praised Sharkoon when it comes to peripherals, and you can read how the two models with 240mm radiators fared in my test in the following article. The last and larger model of the new triumvirate will follow in a separate review.
Packaging and scope of delivery
Slightly different boxes accompany our slightly different AiO water coolers, very fitting then. An inverted design distinguishes the two versions; on the S70 RGB, the front and back are white and the sides are black, while on the S80 RGB it’s the other way around.
Inside the packaging, both coolers have an identical design, a thick casing made of brown cardboard should protect the contents well during transport.
But not only the AiO itself comes in various bags, the accessories are also packed individually. Clear, but not particularly environmentally friendly. In addition to the screws and spacers for the various sockets, a short extension for a 4-pin fan connector and RGB adapters are also included.
A small tube of thermal paste is also included, none is applied ex-factory.
Assembly and installation
For the AM4 socket, the existing backplate of the motherboard is used again, but the pre-mounted plastic brackets on the front have to be removed. Four spacers are then screwed into the backplate from the front.
Then just apply thermal paste, place the pump block on the processor and tighten it with the spring-loaded screws. Wire up and let’s go!
Specifications
Here are the technical details of the entire new AiO series, more information is available on the manufacturer’s website.
