Today only very quickly, because we had already tested this water cooler in detail recently. But since the manufacturer would also like to play with the “big ones”, the version with 360mm radiator follows. The detailed review of the small version can be found here: https://www.igorslab.de/cooler-master-masterliquid-240l-core-im-test/
Packaging and scope of delivery
Once again, the AiO is delivered in a rather colorful box, which is decorated in the usual colors of Cooler Master. Just a bit bigger.
The inside is a bit different, the fans are placed right next to the radiator, but you still have to mount them yourself. Unfortunately, a lot of plastic bags are used, so the manufacturer could improve a bit.
The included accessories include a tube of CryoFuze thermal paste, a splitter cable each for 4-pin fan and ARGB lighting, and various small parts for mounting.
I used the picture from the ML240L article, except for the number of connectors on the splitters and screws, everything is congruent. The three plastic parts on the left in the middle of the picture are there to secure the ARGB connectors after connecting, so they can not accidentally separate again during cable management.
Mounting and installation
For the AM4 socket, Cooler Master has an incredibly simple mounting system, simply attaching the appropriate bracket to the pump block with four screws before hooking two grommets into the existing bracket on the motherboard.
The only pitfall from this method is the fairly small tolerance between all the parts. The coldplate can easily rest a bit on one of the brackets of the mainboard and there is no good contact to the CPU. So be careful that everything fits correctly.
Specifications
Before we go straight to the results, here is the overview of the technical details. As always, more information can be found on the manufacturer’s product page.
