In the AiO water cooling category, Alphacool recently took first place in terms of cooling performance with its “Aurora HPE” series, partly thanks to the more expensive copper radiator. However, the “Core” series does not have this advantage, because a radiator made of the cheaper aluminum is used here again. We will test to what extent this affects the performance in this article.

Packaging and scope of delivery
A plain brown cardboard box with various schematics printed on both sides protects the water cooling during transport, and a few general information can also be read on the outside.
Inside, a shell made of hard cardboard then gives additional protection once again.
The accessories are neatly packed individually with the respective mounting material for current Intel and AMD sockets. There is also a tube of Alphacool thermal paste and all kinds of screws. Surprisingly, a 3-way splitter cable for connecting the fans is missing. It is therefore assumed that you either have three free ports on the motherboard or find a solution yourself. To be honest, I don’t think it’s a good idea to pass on such – for manufacturers – penny items to the end customer at a higher price.
Assembly and installation
Here, as far as everything has remained identical to the other Alphacool complete water cooling systems, the matching brackets are first pushed into the pump block from above and below and hook into each other.
Then you assemble the small hodgepodge of washer, spacer, spring and screw, which are combined and screwed into the holes of the backplate provided by the mainboard.
Specifications
The following is an overview of the technical details of the pump and fans, more information can be found on the manufacturer’s product page.
