In an interview with Bloomberg, NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang spoke about the company’s role in the AI PC segment and hinted at an upcoming “next-gen” solution for 2025. Reports suggest that NVIDIA is working on developing customized silicon chips for AI computing in collaboration with MediaTek. These chips will be based on state-of-the-art processes such as TSMC’s 3nm technology and will compete with Qualcomm and other market leaders. NVIDIA is relying on the Arm core architecture for its new AI PC chips, similar to the Grace CPUs for servers. This scalability enables use in a wide range of devices, from consumer PCs to high-end workstations.
NVIDIA leads the premium segment of AI PCs with its RTX platform, offering up to 1300 TOPS of computing power, significantly more than the 50-100 TOPS offered by current and upcoming SOCs. The close relationship between NVIDIA and Dell is further strengthened by the joint initiative in the AI PC segment. Dell’s “AI factories” will support the production and distribution of the new AI PCs. NVIDIA and Dell’s entry into the AI PC market marks a turning point in the democratization of AI performance. With innovative technologies and strategic partnerships, the two companies are paving the way for a future in which AI becomes accessible and usable for everyone.
