The Sapphire Radeon RX 7900 GRE series recently appeared on the market. As has become known through an entry at Acer, the Predator BiFrost Radeon RX 7900 GRE OC will also be introduced as a new GPU from this collection, which will offer some interesting features.
The card will be equipped with a GDDR6 memory of 16 GB and a speed of around 18 GBps, similar to the standard versions. It is also expected to have 80 CUs and the same number of RT cores, 5,120 shader units and 160 AI accelerators. The whole thing is connected to a 256-bit interface and therefore only offers a level 3 (Infinity) cache of 64 MB. The maximum bandwidth speed is 576 Gb/s. The card is based on the Navi 31 graphics unit. With the RDNA 3 architecture, it offers important features for working and gaming, such as 2nd generation ray tracing, AI acceleration and the AMD Radiance Display™ Engine.
The GPU has three DisplayPort 2.1 and one HDMI 2.1 display connection. The card is equipped with 3 Frostblade 3.0 fans. This provides an efficient cooling solution with 3 fans from Acer. What is interesting about the GPU is that the card has a base clock of 2050 MHz and can be overclocked up to 2395. That’s a whole 150 MHz more than the usual Radeon RX 7900 GRE, which can only be overclocked to a maximum of 2245 MHz.
It is not yet known when the Predator BiFrost Radeon RX 7900 GRE OC will be launched and how much it will cost. It is estimated that the card will be slightly more expensive than the normal Sapphire Radeon RX 7900 GRE, which currently has an RRP of around USD 599.
