Xiaomi may not have made much progress in the PC industry, but it remains committed to the sector. A notable example of this is the launch of a “decent” AMD Ryzen “Phoenix” APU laptop with amazing capabilities. In addition, the company has unveiled the new Redmi G Pro gaming monitor, which, at least on paper, seems to be a great option for those who can warm up to Xiaomi products.

The Redmi G Pro is equipped with a 27-inch mini LED panel and a maximum resolution of 2560 x 1440. It has a total of 1152 partitions and 4608 LEDs that ensure top-notch quality in all scenarios. It reportedly offers four different light control modes, allowing users to customize the panel settings without having to adjust each parameter individually. The Redmi G Pro has a maximum brightness of 1,000 nits and also supports HDR1000 display output, which could make it a great choice for those who want to consume various content with it.
It seems like the focus here is heavily on panel quality, as the monitor also boasts ratings of 100% sRGB, 99% DCI-P3 and 97% Adobe RGB color gamut. This is remarkable to say the least, as Xiaomi has not been an established player in the monitor industry. The Redmi G Pro makes a great impression, at least on paper, but it will be interesting to see how it performs in practice, as “Chinese” manufacturers often offer impressive specifications, but the final result may differ.
The monitor has 2x DisplayPort 2.1 and 2x HDMI 2.0 for onboard connectivity, which is sufficient. The price of the monitor is 2,199 Yuan, which is about 290 EURO. Considering the fact that it is a mini LED monitor, this is a decent price level.
