Hello and thank you for everything. Currently, I have a 5600XT in which I have flashed the modified bios by Red BIOS Editor. However, the BIOS did not work, the system hangs during POST. This is no problem, I am used to flashing BIOS with SPI Programmer CH341a, I am free to test anything.

I think maybe this did not work due to the fact that my card is dual BIOS, and when I read the BIOS from the memory chip, it comes out with 1024kb, rather than the 512kb saved from GPU-Z. When I try to open this extracted BIOS with RBE, it modifies fine, but does not save by stating "An unknown error occurred when accessing (filename path). This is not a permission issue, I am running admin. It works fine to save the file when I use the GPUz extracted rom. However, even with the 512KB file, it does not work to post the card.

I have tried several things, the last one was to make only a very small change on the GFX Maximum Clock to 1900MHz. It still does not work. I originally made a BIOS with a lot more changes and limits, such as 2100, 1000 memory, more power, voltage, etc, etc. but decided to make a small alteration to see if it would work-- unfortunately it doesn't.

I have also tried to open in HxD the original long file 1024kb and noticed it makes no difference, because after 000FFFF0 it is only 0's anyway. Also, in HxD, I have tried to open the original stock BIOS and overwrite the part, leaving the correct file size, but this also did not work to POST. Stock BIOS still works fine when re-flashed, card is perfect.

So, I am leaving a link to my files, to see if we can figure out why the modified BIOS is not working on my 5600XT.
Here is the URL: http://xonedigital.com/BIOS_etc.zip
on this ZIP file, there are the following:
1 - 5600xt1_gpuz.rom (Original BIOS from the card extracted with GPU-Z)
2 - 5600xt-stock_extract.rom (This is the BIOS file extracted from the Chip with SPI Programmer, it loads on RBE, but fails to save)
3 - mpt-1900_only.mpt (This is an example of a small change I tried to see if it would work, only changing maximum clock to 1900mhz)
4 - 1900-ONLY-BIOS1.rom (This is the final outcome of RED BIOS EDITOR using the GPU-Z BIOS with the MorePowerTool settings of 1900mhz)

I hope this helps, thank you so much for all your work again and let me know if anything else is needed. I am really looking forward to free up the power of this 5600XT :)

Thanks again!

Hello and thank you for the proposal that I accept Mini_me. I am doing this tomorrow.

To complete my previous message.

The technique proposed above by kryogenic with vbios ati files works, no brick. The changes are then operational in wattman. Unfortunately the results are disappointing in terms of benchmark performance. So I re-installed my original vbios and based on it I prepared a vbios similar to that of the sapphire pulse Radeon XR 5700 XS using powertool and red bios editor. So I will try tomorrow to integrate a homemade vbios on my Radeon pulse XT 5600 XS sapphire, based on the data from the 5700 (especially for fans and tensions) with the same Kryogenic method.
Very well, please feel free to message me whenever you like,

You may have a good day,

Regards.

Good evening Ricardo.

Why don't you use the original rom files on the net? Indeed in my case I also have two bios (with a switch on the card to switch from one to the other) and during the updates I have 2 files of 512KB.
After checking in powertolls, I have confirmed the original OC values on one of the two .rom. I'm assuming this is the one I'll edit in powertool and compile with rde. Then I inject the .rom modified by myself, before switching the switch to the oc position.

Have a good day / night

Hello and welcome,

I have downloaded your vbios and after I finish it, I will update you whenever it is possible.

Good evening. Thanks for your help Mini_me.

I tried to adapt the kryogenic vbios ati settings based on the vbios settings of the 5600 XT and the 5700 XT from sapphire. Unfortunately the benchmark results are disappointing (less good than those of the original vbios). Indeed I have noticed when depending on the changes I make, the max frequency of vgpu or vram are not taken into account, and this despite being achievable in wattman.

I seem to have read that the vbios and adrenaline drivers do feedback checks to restrict the settings so as not to allow too much oc. Finally I ask myself the question that because the kryogenic technique modifies the ID of my card such that it appears as an ati and not a sapphire, there may be a restriction with the adrenaline drivers.

Finally managed to get my Asus TUF RX 5600 XT working. running 2100 MHz at 1030 mV. havn't bothered much with stability testing but atleast WoW hasn't crashed yet.

Any1 with this card that has problems getting any BIOS working, heres what I did:
Downloaded Bitby (Russian) bios from their site.
Took the MPT from original BIOS and modified the values I wanted.
with RBE, open the bitby bios, set it to RX 5700 XT, this is important, else Wattman won't let you go over the default 5600 XT limits eventho you can max out the sliders at whatever values you set.
Import the MPT.
Copy the original timings from the original BIOS and paste them on the timings tab on RBE, bitby BIOS has modified timings for mining.
Then flash it, I used atiflash 2.93+ from Igorslab, don't know if other version work or not.

The bitby BIOS is also 1024kb instead of 512, I deleted the "empty" part with Hxd to make it 512kb but it worked fine without deleting anything in Hxd. I did test both and no difference.

Don't know what Bitby's magic is but thats the only one that I managed to get working.

Can you please send me the modded bios that worked for you?the unlocked msi doesnt work for my 5600 xt pulse(black screen) and i would like to try yours

Good night everyone.
Thanks to Mini_Me I managed to get and install unbridled vbios. But the drivers (well I think it's them) punish me directly by switching the GPU clock to 300Mhz, even with a tiny modification.
I even installed the unbridled vbios on the two bios positions of my card (soft bios and OC bios). Same punishment.
Does anyone know a solution to bypass this last protection.

Thank you

We are not finished yet we only started, let us continue through messages.

anyone have a working bios for a strix 5600xt? The TUF bios will work but I am unable to use the ext fan ports on the strix card.
any help would be appreciated. thanks
