Hello and thank you for everything. Currently, I have a 5600XT in which I have flashed the modified bios by Red BIOS Editor. However, the BIOS did not work, the system hangs during POST. This is no problem, I am used to flashing BIOS with SPI Programmer CH341a, I am free to test anything.

I think maybe this did not work due to the fact that my card is dual BIOS, and when I read the BIOS from the memory chip, it comes out with 1024kb, rather than the 512kb saved from GPU-Z. When I try to open this extracted BIOS with RBE, it modifies fine, but does not save by stating "An unknown error occurred when accessing (filename path). This is not a permission issue, I am running admin. It works fine to save the file when I use the GPUz extracted rom. However, even with the 512KB file, it does not work to post the card.

I have tried several things, the last one was to make only a very small change on the GFX Maximum Clock to 1900MHz. It still does not work. I originally made a BIOS with a lot more changes and limits, such as 2100, 1000 memory, more power, voltage, etc, etc. but decided to make a small alteration to see if it would work-- unfortunately it doesn't.

I have also tried to open in HxD the original long file 1024kb and noticed it makes no difference, because after 000FFFF0 it is only 0's anyway. Also, in HxD, I have tried to open the original stock BIOS and overwrite the part, leaving the correct file size, but this also did not work to POST. Stock BIOS still works fine when re-flashed, card is perfect.

So, I am leaving a link to my files, to see if we can figure out why the modified BIOS is not working on my 5600XT.
Here is the URL: http://xonedigital.com/BIOS_etc.zip
on this ZIP file, there are the following:
1 - 5600xt1_gpuz.rom (Original BIOS from the card extracted with GPU-Z)
2 - 5600xt-stock_extract.rom (This is the BIOS file extracted from the Chip with SPI Programmer, it loads on RBE, but fails to save)
3 - mpt-1900_only.mpt (This is an example of a small change I tried to see if it would work, only changing maximum clock to 1900mhz)
4 - 1900-ONLY-BIOS1.rom (This is the final outcome of RED BIOS EDITOR using the GPU-Z BIOS with the MorePowerTool settings of 1900mhz)

I hope this helps, thank you so much for all your work again and let me know if anything else is needed. I am really looking forward to free up the power of this 5600XT :)

Thanks again!

@Mini_Me, thank you for unlocking my 5600 xt. I am really grateful to you. I still keep myself in hand and do not indulge in all seriousness, I limited myself to 2000 MHz at 1.0v.

Before that, I tried to unlock my card on my own, but I failed disastrously. I don't have a dual bios and an integrated video card, and the 5600xt did not pass POST and I could not blindly restore the standard bios, in general the recovery was very entertaining. I don't know how you do it, you are probably a god

You are very welcome and I am only a humble and simple human being like your good self.

I'm fully aware that power to perf gets silly, but that isn't important for benching.
Asus tuf has the same pcb as 5700xt (7+1 phase GPU VRM according to TPU), minus the 6 pin (and 2 memory chips ofc). At 1200mV +20% power, nothing gets hot, 8 pin wires barely warms up. Software reported peak power was I think 256 watts, thats 31 watts above the "safe limits" of pcie+1x8pin connector, not that worried about it tho. I don't know why the 3Dmark result is hidden, only has a "hide result" button for me. Firestrike graphics score was 26 932.
I really do need a new PSU tho, since I'm getting into the territory of maxing out the crappy one I have currently.
Ofcourse I'm not dailying with these settings, its unstable memory wise, unless I have the fans at 100% to keep memory chips lower temp.
Added a pic of the maximum values during a firestrike run.

Edit: Also about your PSU stuff, pulling more than 150 watts from a single 8 pin isn't going to kill a PSU. PSU's don't care if you are pulling 300 watts from 2 8 pin's or one, the connectors come from the same single rail 12V these days. Wires could get damaged tho, wire gauge matters.
The test stuff was as said with an old unprotected PSU, half bad wire gauge/connectors. Again just to see what could happen with the BIOS version if used in the wrong hands, and with crappy stuff that did held out fine at stock though. It was purposly done.

EDIT: This of couse did not happen after 2 short gfx, a short cpu, and then again short combined test like in firestrike, but "real world usage" at mostly 1440p full load over roughly an hour while cranking stuff up. Using "Metro Exodus" and an older game "A Plaques Tale" that can put alot of load on the card especially with 200% resolution scale. It was actually in that game where it happened, could might aswell had been the other I am sure. But anyway it was just an example, I did not know what your intentions where.

I agree 100% it is yours, you can do what you like and if you are into benching stuff carry on.
Looking at a teardown I do realize asus deviates from the reference more than others, I did not know that actually.
What is wrong with your PSU though does it cut out? for safety. Do your you need one with more power?
Why? What happens or will maybe not happen or happen? How much can the current one provide? Just curious. lol =)

EDIT2: Cleaned up some extra keystrokes and stuff. I am getting old, need glasses now, time flies. Sorry for the mess.

Best regards.

I believe for 5600 XT best power table is as below,

- Under Overdrive Limits tab, set:
GFX Maximum Clock 2100 MHz
Memory Maximum Clock 950 MHz
Power Limit Maximum + 25%

- Under Power and Voltages, set:
Maximum voltage GFX 1100 mV
Maximum voltage SoC 1100 mV
Minimum voltage GFX 800 mV
Minimum voltage SoC 800 mV
Power Limit GPU 180 W
TDC limit GFX 168 A
TDC limit SoC 12 A

- Under Frequency tap, set:
Memory DPM 3 - 900 MHz

When using AMD wattman or any other program use the setting for best stable performance to temperature ratio and it is important when undervolting to not let the ratio between core clock and vdd exceed 2, for an example, 2100 MHz ÷ 1050 mV = 2,

Core clock, VDD
2100 MHz, 1050 mV, for max safe undervolting for max performance,

Memory clock, 1820 MHz (Samsung and Micron) for best temperature to performance ratio,
or 1870 MHz (Micron) for best performance.
the setting valid in windows or in hiveos?

Hello @Mini_Me
I've been following this conversation for some time now and I'm impressed with your work.

I have a SAPPHIRE PULSE RADEON RX 5600 XT 6G - (3DP / 1HDMI) and tried every bios available on the internet to unlock it's potential.
I have flashed the silent bios very often but always with the same success, a black screen with no output.

Can you please help me to unlock the silent bios.

The rumors spread like wild fire it seems. =)
Thanks again Mini_Me! If I can return the favor in any way later, just pm me further.

Wish you and everyone else in the community a great new year!
Best regards.

Hi Mini_Me,

I am following this thread along and are very happy with your work!
Could you also help me with my vbios of the ASUS ROG-Strix RX5600 T6G Gaming attached?

Thank you!!

EDIT: Attached both now, the Bios from GPUZ and AMDvbFlash extract.

Good morning and hello!

I bought this card earlier in the year after watching the 5700 cards getting flashed to XTs. I had known the limitations of the 5600xt but went for it anyway in the hope that the modding community would crack the Bios for some more overclocking! Well, it clearly happened and thank you everyone that is far more intelligent than I for doing so!

Would it be possible to ask if you are able to do the same for my Bios Mini Me? I can't stress enough how appreciative I am that you are doing this for people!

Good morning and welcome,

Please send me your vbios and I will update you after I finish whenever it is possible.

Hello! Please find attached the Performance Bios from my Sapphire Pulse 5600xt. Do you want the silent bios as well?
