Mal eine Frage zum BIOS Editor,...
Meine 480 gaming X läuft jetzt endlich bei den eingestellten Spannungen was beim Polaris Editor nicht geklappt hat, aber sie taktet sich beim MSI kombustor nach etwa 20 sek. runter, was sie sonst nicht getan hat.
Hitze sind bei VRMs und Chip unter 70°C und gebe ihr 100W bei 110A @0,998V, während sie ca 90W bei 98A @978mV verbraucht. Auch PT auf 60% bringt da nichts.
Memory errors in HW-i bei 0
Habe jetzt einen FS Stabilitäts Test durchlaufen lassen mit einem Score von 99,4% ( Stock 99,7 ) und da hält die Karte ihren Takt.


Und nochmal eine Frage bei den Spannungen, kann ich auch die mV angeben, oder muss ich die 6 stelligen Angaben so lassen, oder ist das mit irgendwas multipliziert?

Ich hatte auch ein Custom BIOS von der 580 drauf, irgendwie war bei gleichem Verbrauch ( Stromzähler an der Steckdose ) etwas mehr Leistung drin aber der ausgelesene Stromverbrauch war höher, woran kann das liegen und kann man das auch ändern?

Die "manuellen" Spannungen sind mit Zeigern versehen, die eigentlichen Spannungswerte für die einzelnen DPM States werden dann vom Treiber anhand von Min/Max (aus einem anderen Table) berechnet.

Wie bereits erwähnt funzt das ändern dieser Werte noch nicht mal mehr auf Umwegen. Das kam mit AMDs neuen Treibern auf. Diese Werte sollten unverändert bleiben, und nur Min/Max angepasst werden. Wenn man die einzelnen DPMs bearbeiten will, kann mit den Offsets arbeiten, die funzen.
 
Aber ich will ja nicht über 1V gehen, wie Stelle ich das denn ein?

Offset - 0,115 bzw. -117V?

Und Stabilität testen kann ich dann per 3dMark und Lüfter auf 80°C erst anspringen lassen, solange die Karte nicht über 89°C geht?
Weil die Spannung soll ja bei höherer Temp hoch gehen (?)

Bei welcher Treiber Version funktioniert den noch die fixen DPM Spannung?

Wie gesagt, einstellen lassen sich die einzelnen Spannungen schon noch. Nur nicht über diese Werte.

Sorry, zu lange her für mich, ich hab meine Threads zu Polaris nun auch geschlossen. Aber davon gibts noch genug, und eben genug zu lesen.

Vielleicht versuchst du es mal in der internationalen Ecke, mynm hat wesentlich mehr Ahnung von Polaris als ich.
 
@hellm , ist eigendlich bei den 5700xt bei 1,3 V schicht ? Oder gibt es einen Trick für mehr Spannung ?
 
..bei 1,35V? Offiziell ja. Du hast ne PN. ;)
 
Hello guys. I got a problem with flashing my RX5500m at the laptop with iGPU(ryzen 7 48000h) with an apple pro 5500m vbios.

I have tried whole methos. a DOS methos which is not working with amdvbflash (but tried with atiflash - no luck. no adapter found). Of course tried windows CMD mode with -unlockrom. And the GUI methos which says just "Error in VBIOS image". The CMD methos with command "amdvbflash -fp -p 0 vbios.rom" throws "Cannot Program with input vbios image file" "ERROR: 0FL01".

I dont have more ideas of what is wrong. Can you give me any suggestion?
 
Apple hardware is proprietary & saved by security checks.
There is an old Thread on Reddit, how to do ... maybe there are new ones for RDNA, too.

Be aware, that flashing a VBIOS from mobile graphics cards could end in a bootless system or in worst case a paperweight.

okay. but isn't it safe as I still got the iGPU on the system?

I just think it could works as the apple vbios seems to support almost every momory type

especialy the Autodetect 4096 MB makes me feel safe.

Far more thats the identical navi 14 chip (but unlocked 24CU vs 22CU in RX5500).

Also the Apple MacBook Pro 16'' claims that the GPU automaticly switches between iGPU and dGPU.
Systems seems to be very similar.

I am not sure if I understand this correct.
I wanted to flash this with dos or windows OS that is going to work at MSI Bravo 17 laptop.

Be aware, that on mobile systems like notebooks AND especially with dual/switching-GPUs there's often special technic behind from OEM.
If you have an USB flasher, then you could read/write the VBIOS directly to the chip (offline/off powered), but for DOS you need the notebook should powered on.

Maybe @hellm or @Igor Wallossek could help you.

well. I made many times the vbios switch at the radeon cards with notebooks but this one is tricky to me.

okay. back to the topic, you suggest that the error reading rom error directs to the protected vbios rom?
I was thinking I make something wrong.
 
Sorry, I've got no knowledge about the new vbios of RX 5xxx mobiles series. I only use MorePowerTool.
My experiences with the HD 5770 vbios are long ago.

That's why I can only warn you to get more information from somebody or a thread in the internet.

P.S.
I only remember, that editing vbios (in UEFI/BIOS?) would be very dangerous.
Changing the vbios of a dedicated mobile GPU, it could result in an unbootable system.
If you have also iGPU, maybe the danger is less.

After worst case "no boot", which GPU would start after clearing the CMOS?

has anyone tried changing the rx 5600 xt ID to 5700 to see if the limits are unlocked?
 
Hallo,

ich habe leider ein Problem mit dem Flashen meiner Sapphire 5700 XT Nitro+. Ich habe mit GPU-Z das Bios gespeichert, im MPT-Tool geladen und die min/max Lüfterumdrehungen für Zero RPM verändert. Dann habe ich das Bios-File im RBE geöffnet und die MPT-Datei eingelesen und das neue Bios gespeichert. Ich habe nach dem ROM-Unlock dann mit den .\amdvbflash.exe -f -p 0 '.\zero rpm.rom' Befehl das Bios geflasht, wo mir zwar angezeigt wurde, dass es den -f Parameter nicht gäbe, aber sonst gab es keine Fehlermeldungen. Nach einem Neustart gab's kein Bild und der Rechner hat nicht gebootet. Ich habe die 5700 XT in einen anderen PCI-e-Slot gepackt und mit einer anderen Grafikkarte den Rechner gebootet und das Backup vom Original-Bios wieder eingespielt. Leider gibt es immer noch kein Bild. Wenn ich aber den Bios-Switch auf der Grafikkarte umstelle um das Silent-Bios zu laden, funktioniert die Karte noch. Wie kann ich denn das Primär-Bios nun wieder retten? Im Anhand die Original- und modifizierten Rom-Dateien.
