I am contemplating about buying this card because someone is offering this to me for a cheaper price here where I live. From my understanding, this card is just the "professional" / "workstation" equivalent of RX 5700 XT.

Any thoughts on this card? Has anyone here actually used this for mining? Does anyone know what the hashrate is? Can an unlocked BIOS be flashed on this GPU?

Yup.. If you read the instruction that I wrote. You will notice that
I concentrate on timing to quickly boot and flash back the original ROM.

I messed around my 1st card trying to unlock my own unlock ROM
but no matter what I did always brick my card.

I shorted pins to recover my card almost 10 times with my 1st card.
Your instructions are perfect. I was doing them while you were writing them. For others please use those. I also found the missing screw :). Now that I have recovered it once, I am feeling bold to try new bios. Not sure what to try to make it go 10%. My wattage is 150 and 50 Hashrate.

Start here instead of me.

Next few weeks I will be busy with other stuff if you have time do a research if this guys have something legit.

I really don't care if it is mining 50 or 53 or 55 MHs. What bothers me the most is 50-60W over consumption. It is cold here now, winter is coming so this is not problem right now but in the summer will be.

My W5700's are super stable. But I have VRAM at 1700Mhz mining caa 52MHs, 0.5% rejected overall. The most important thing for me is to not waste to much time babysitting them.

My Micron cards are stable at 1810MHz.
Only one of my Micron card is only stable at 1780MHz.
And totally 0 rejection.

My Samsung cards are almost stable at 1796MHz.
Only once a while GPU detected dead or 1-2 rejection.

I have no idea. I think it should be very long time
before it fail. At least the fan will be fail 1st before
the card will be actually fail.
Just so that I understand correctly for HP cards. Have you guys used More power Tools and reflashed your own bioses? Or when you say your cards are running stable at those clocks that is default? I have right now back to stock bios and nothing can be changed in performance sections of Radeon.

Someone with HP card flash and use succesfully modded BIOS? I have HP cards with locked BIOS v101 and dont know if its possible flash modded BIOS v102 into my HP card.
Anybody can help me please?

I don't have a HP card but I have 1 Dell and 9 retail. I flashed all of mine (293plus) with the AMD 5700XT reference bios that I downloaded from Techpowerup. That bios I modded with the apple straps that I found here on this site. 9 are samsung and set at 1780, getting 55.6 Mh / s @ ~ 99W. 1 is Micron and gets 59+ but @ 128W. I wish I could adjust the memory voltage and lower the wattage ... but I haven't found a way yet ... I guess it's not possible with these cards. My current problem is that I had planned on running 12 of these with my Asrock 450 Steel Legend which has 6 slots. I have two 4 in 1 risers so thought i would be able to run 12 no problem. However I can't get past 7 due to lack of PCI-e resources for the cards. I've tried a bunch of things ... unfortunately, the bios doesn ' t allow me to change the individual slot settings ... so am kinda stumped for the moment. Any ideas what i can try to free up resources ???

Hi..

Are you saying that you flashed your W5700 with modded RX 5700 XT vBIOS?

Can you attach your modded vBIOS here?

What's your OC settings like?

Yes ... using the AMD reference bios for RX 5700 XT

cclock 1350
mclock 1760
cvddc 750
that gives me ~ 55mH / s at low power levels (avg=94W). You can get more, but I opted for conservative levels.
I have all 10 cards running the same, including the Micron which pulls 112W at those settings.
At those settings the heat output by the rig is not overly heating up my basement, and there are zero crashes.

But with the below settings for the Micron you can get 59+ at 128W
cclock 1430
mclock 1900
cvddc 805

Xeon has far more pcie lanes than a "normal" consumer cpu. You should try a different board (server/workstation) and Xeon cpu. Even the X299 platform has more pcie lanes than the consumer cpu.
