I'd really like to be able to edit the bios version number when I create a modified/OC version. That way I can see which of my cards have been BIOS modded or not when I view them in HiveOS. I have done this a few times using a hex editor, but if the text I insert to replace the version number is not exactly the same number of characters, the BIOS bricks the card. I don't know enough about hex editing to avoid this problem.
Does anyone know of an easier way to do this, or know of a good tutorial for doing this correctly in a hex editor?
