Even though NVIDIA and its partners are no longer producing the Geforce RTX 4090 or are slowly showing signs of its end, Zotac does not seem to have any end in sight for the time being – at least when it comes to the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super. The company recently released two new variants of this card, which are equipped with a slightly weaker AD102-175 chip instead of an AD102-300 chip.
Let’s take a look at the latest changes: Zotac has unveiled the aforementioned Geforce RTX 4070 Ti Super PGF OC and the Geforce RTX 4070 Ti Super AMP Extreme. The cooling with the three fans and the 16-pin power connector are based on the GeForce RTX 4090 and remain the same in this respect. However, there are significant differences: the number of CUDA cores has been reduced from 16384 to 8448 – a considerable difference in performance. The memory interface has also been reduced from 384 bits to 256 bits. Both models have 16 GB of memory. The Zotac GeForce RTX 4070Ti SUPER PGF OC measures 38.1 x 15.4 x 7.4 cm and offers a boost clock of 2670 MHz. The Geforce RTX 4070 Ti Super AMP Extreme, on the other hand, will have a size of 35.6 x 15 x 7.15 cm and, at 2640 MHz, a slightly lower boost clock than the former. The TDP for both graphics cards is 285 watts.
It remains unclear why Zotac is releasing this card with an AD102-Cip chip. The company probably wants to market the remaining chips. Malicious tongues could also report Jensen’s leftover ramp here. This could also be the reason why the card has only been announced for the Chinese market and not for the global market, which would indicate a lesser significance or precisely this leftover devaluation.
Customers are already eagerly awaiting the GeForce 5090, which may be announced at CES 2025. The CES, or Consumer Electronics Show, is a major tech trade fair where up-and-coming companies or big giants present their latest technological innovations. The show will take place from January 7 to Friday, January 10, 2025. The company has also not yet announced the price and release date of the two new cards.
