Cool motherboard for hot summer days: Gigabyte unveils its new B650E AORUS STEALTH ICE motherboard

Summer is in full swing and temperatures are rising. But what’s the best way to cool down? In addition to a cold bath or an ice cream, there is now a technological refreshment: the new B650E AORUS STEALTH ICE mainboard from Gigabyte, which not only provides visual cooling with its white design, but is also intended to attract customers. At least that’s how the marketing sees it. But what’s in the box?

Interim question: What does this slightly differently designed motherboard offer? Incidentally, Intel users are left empty-handed with this motherboard, as it is a pure and exclusive AMD board. It is equipped with an AM5 socket and supports the Ryzen 7000, 8000 and the soon-to-be-released 9000 series from AMD. With four DIMM slots, dual-channel DDR5 is supported, which enables a significant increase in RAM. There is also support for AMD’s EXtended Profiles for overclocking (AMD EXPO) and Intel’s Extreme Memory Profile (XMP). A PCIe 5.0 x16 slot provides powerful graphics card support if the graphics card does require a lot of power.

For WLAN users, the installation of a WLAN mode including antenna is required, which is possible without any problems thanks to the simple design, according to the manufacturer. This can simply be “plugged in”. The motherboard supports Wi-Fi 7, and those who ultimately opt for the LAN option can achieve speeds of up to 2.5 Gbps. The motherboard offers three M.2 slots, one of which is a PCIe 5.0 x4 slot. There are 1x HDMI, 1x onboard HDMI, 1x USB-C with DP-Alt and a selection of USB ports: 5x USB 3.2, 2x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A and 4x USB 2.0. A LAN port rounds off the interfaces. The mainboard connectors are also located at the rear.

The design of the motherboard is kept in cool white and gray tones and is complemented by LED strips on the sides, which provide beautiful lighting (what else, RGB must be!) and so that the customer can admire the motherboard even in the dark (and know where his money has gone). An exact release date has not yet been given, but it is expected that the motherboard will be released close to the release of the new AMD Ryzen 9000 series. There is also no information on the price yet, so it will be interesting to see when these details are announced.
