Cooling Fans Practice Reviews

The marathon starts: Review with 6 case and radiator fans from be quiet! Black Noise, Corsair, Cooler Master, Noctua and Thermaltake

Volume flow (throughput)

We already know the order at the front, the rest sorts itself out at the back. At 1000 rpm the first 4 fans are almost exactly the same and at 500 rpm only the fans from Backnoise and Noctua are worthwhile. The Corsair is the taillight here and is rather not suitable for thicker radiators. The Cooler Master MasterFan MF 120 Halo is once again the only fan in the test field that fails to reach 500 rpm.

Of course, this also applies to the CFM value, as we list both and convert any missing values from other data.

Static pressure

The thick radiator is best suited to the fan from Blacknoise, whereby everything is put into perspective again at 1000 rpm. at 500 rpm the sequence is reversed, but this is of little relevance due to the rather impractical application.
