Yes, you read that right, today is the first time I’m presenting a Dell Alienware monitor. Let’s take a closer look at the Alienware AW2725DF! This monitor could turn out to be a real eSports king, because according to the data sheet (see below), that’s basically where Dell is positioning the AW2725DF. A Samsung QD-OLED panel with a resolution of 2560 x 1440p and 360 Hz – paired with pixel dimming – result in a mixture that has never been seen before.
But first things first. Let’s start with the packaging. I like it very much, as the essentials are protected with foam and the rest is stored in practical cardboard packaging. In other words, the monitor is protected and should arrive safely at your home.
You can also take a look at the technical data on the DELL homepage, or skim the PDF. (To the homepage: Click here!)

Monitors with 360 Hz are nothing new (see BenQ Zowie XL2566K), but with real HDR and OLED response times, that’s new. So today we are focusing on latency, color fidelity and, of course, HDR. Because there will be no surprises when it comes to pixel response times. Let’s get started…

- 2 - Workmanship and Details
- 3 - How we measure: Equipment and Methods
- 4 - Pixel Response Times
- 5 - Display Latencies
- 6 - Color-Performance @ Default Settings
- 7 - Direct Comparison and Power Consumption
- 8 - Color-Performance calibrated
