Soundcheck
Golden Micro IP54 buttons from TTC are used for both mouse buttons. Billed at 80 million clicks, they sound like this:
Alternate left and right click:
Side buttons:
Scroll wheel, middle mouse button and DPI knob:
The silver side key sounds a bit “hollow”, the rest is rather inconspicuous and ranks in the midfield in terms of loudness.
Summary and conclusion
Overall, I really liked the Rival 5! With 85g of weight, it is not one of the ultra-light mice, but considering the many side buttons, size and design without holes, this is respectable. A whole 10 zones of RGB lighting will satisfy even the fairest of fairgrounds, and the other features can also be extensively customized according to personal preference.
I also noticed in the beginning that the horizontal movement of the mouse is a bit easier than in the vertical, but this did not affect the everyday use. If you are in the mood for many freely assignable keys and don’t mind the higher price, you will get a reliable companion here.
The test samples are purchased by ourselves or provided by the manufacturers without obligation. There is no influence on the tests and results. An expense allowance is only paid in rare exceptional cases, but is then shown and also has no influence on the test results.
