Sensor and software
Here the well-known PixArt PMW3389 is used, which is still one of the best sensors on the market. If you need more information about the sensor, here is the link to the manufacturer.
The sensor is absolutely reliable and offers a lot of possibilities for individualization. Be it the lift-off distance, the DPI in general, individual adjustability of the axes and various other options that you can adjust in the Sharkoon software.
What I like is that you can adjust the polling rate using the switch on the bottom, next to the sensor. Here you can choose between 125 over 500 to 1,000 Hz.
The software allows you to transfer all settings on up to 5 profiles on the internal memory of the mouse, so that you can use your settings “basically” (see basics article) 1:1 with the mouse on any device. All six mouse buttons can be freely programmed!
After the installation of the software and after you have made your settings, you can remove the software from the autostart, so you reduce the background radiation (load) in relation to your system to 0%. If you need the software, just start it manually. That’s all anyone needs!
