CPU Gaming Reviews System

Quartet Infernale from Ryzen 5 5600X, Ryzen 7 5800X, Ryzen 9 5900X and Ryzen 9 5950X – Which Ryzen type are you and what should you really afford as a gamer?

HD (Ready): 1280 x 720 pixels

The big Intel can take off all other CPUs on 720p, but is not the thirstiest. but this time AMD is very close, because they are taking almost 30 percent from the old generation and are only just behind Intel’s flagship with both Ryzen 9.

Full-HD: 1920 x 1080 pixels

The Core i9-10900K’s frame times and percentiles are beyond any doubt, and so is the FPS. And AMD? Power is put in, performance fits, but is a bit lower. The old generation plays absolutely no role here either and the Ryzen 7 5800X slides into the loose midfield.

WQHD: 2560 x 1440 pixels

The Ryzen 9 5900X annoys its big brother 5950X, for whatever reason, even if there are only a few FPS. Only the thirst of the fat 50s wins – as always.

Ultra-HD: 3840 x 2160 pixels

The game is neither the most challenging nor the easiest in my collection, but it is the only one that generates such behavior, so it is unlikely to be fixed to the motherboard or the sample. This definitely needs to be re-tested, especially since AMD has unfortunately not yet responded, and the break-in of all AMD CPUs in Ultra-HD is a fact that really needs to be questioned. However, you already need an overclocked GeForce RTX 3090 to shift the GPU limit so far that you even notice it. With the RTX 2080 Ti, the difference is hardly higher than in the lower resolutions.
