Assembly
It is slowly becoming a tradition that the manufacturer offers not only the instructions on paper but also a suitable video on the most important steps of assembly. But of course I will still document everything here.
So let’s start at the beginning, quite literally.
The metal handle is fixed to the right-hand side of the glass door with the two matching screws and rubber rings.
Take the touchscreen out of its small box and remove the blue adhesive tape from the cable.
The cable is then connected and routed as shown here.
The screen can then simply be inserted into the holes with the brackets and pushed to the side.
In the next step, we can actually connect the power directly. As I seem to have the EU version here, I didn’t even have to set the correct mains voltage.
The desired language is then set on the display, I chose English.
The next tasks are also presented to us here.
So let’s get on with it and free the extruder from its cable tie prison.
If you can then move it on the X and Y axes, confirm the step on the display.
To prevent damage to the heavy print bed during transportation, it is secured with two clamps and four screws.
Logically, these must be removed for operation.
I also took the opportunity to unpack the printing surface.
The printer then checks whether it can now move the print bed freely.
The only thing missing is the filament holder, which is attached to the back.
And that was actually it, there were no major difficulties or obstacles during assembly. Even without previous experience, the steps shown here should be completed in just a few minutes.
