Just over a year after our last report on a 3D printer from this manufacturer, the follow-up is now coming, albeit a little later than planned. Not everything went according to plan and I ended up writing the article in a different direction than I had intended after the first few weeks of testing. There’s a lot to say, so let’s get straight to it!

QIDI TECH X-Plus 3 V2 3D Printer Review – Got some room to spare in your basement?
Packaging and scope of delivery
On its way to me, the printer was well protected in a sturdy cardboard box, but the “X” from “X-Plus” was probably lost anyway. Apparently this series is now just called “Plus”.
The amount of foam, polystyrene and protective plastic corners also gives a solid impression. However, with a weight of 32 kg, this is certainly appropriate – the letter carrier will be pleased with the side openings for reaching in.
The picture in the middle already shows it, so now you have to keep your back straight and lift it out of your legs. The two metal handles on the left and right are definitely very necessary.
But don’t forget the rest of the accessories at the bottom of the box, we’ll need them soon.
However, we also need as large and stable a surface as possible for the assembly.
The film can actually be opened from below, but before I lift the printer again, I simply tear it open from above.
Here’s a look at the accessories supplied:
We attach most of these to the printer, but more on that in a moment.
Here is an overview of the key technical data of the Plus4, further details can be found on the manufacturer’s product page.
