AMD Radeon RX 570: the little blonde with the black soul

But what can the new edition offer (more)? After all, the GPU itself is not a real new development, but only the continuation of what AMD started with "Ellesmere" and Polaris 10 last year. Introduction

Yesterday we had already published detailed game benchmarks with the necessary comments at the Radeon RX 580 and summarize the results in FullHD again. For higher resolutions, we would recommend the version with 8GB memory expansion or a Radeon RX 580, but rather not the Radeon RX 570 with 4 GB memory.

Ashes of the Singularity: Escalation (DX12)

The Radeon RX 570 achieves measurable extra power compared to the RX 470, but is just below the GeForce GTX 1060 3GB. After all, it is noticeable that Nvidia has now also been able to follow in on some DX12-based titles.

Battlefield 1 (DX12)

The Radeon RX 570 almost reaches the GeForce GTX 1060 6GB, the RX 470 is clearly dominated.

Civilization VI (DX12)

Compared to each other, the new Radeon RX 5 Series clearly beat their direct predecessor models, even in frametimes. Only in the overall comparison do the GeForce cards dominate.

Hitman (DX12)

The Radeon RX 570 can even narrowly beat the GeForce GTX 970. It's dramatic for the GeForce GTX 1060 3GB, which with its half-neutered memory brings only a third of the performance of a GeForce GTX 1050 Ti with 4GB. Here 4GB are definitely already the absolute lower limit with FullHD.

Rise of the Tomb Raider (DX12)

The rather unsuccessful DirectX12 implementation shows how much raw power you actually need to get acceptable frametimes here. Only a total of three cards still offer a satisfying picture at this point, even if the average frame rates obscure the problem. The Radeon RX 570 misses this target, so you should make significant cuts to the settings already with FullHD.

Tom Clancy's The Division (DX12)

The Radeon RX 570 also shows exactly what one could have expected from the higher clock. While Ghost Recon Wildlands is based on the AnvilNext engine, The Division uses Ubisoft's DirectX 12-enabled Snowdrop engine.
