Gaming GPUs Graphics Reviews

Palit RTX 2070 Super Jetstream review – Almost silent and convincing matador in middle weight | Profile

Temperatures: Sensor values and infrared measurement

Below I have listed all the temperatures that I could determine with the different methods. I was able to determine the estimated internal memory delta with comparable RAM from internal laboratory measurements with AMD cards that can output the peak value of the hottest module. The clock rates of the heated card are still at a whopping 1920 MHz, the OC with manually raised fan speed goes loose up to 2.1 GHz++.

GPU Diode
67°C Gaming Loop
67 °C Torture Loop
PCB BGA
61°C Gaming Loop
62 °C Torture Loop
Memory PCB
65 °C Gaming Loop
70 °C Torture Loop
Memory Inside (Calculated)
85°C Gaming Loop
90 °C Torture Loop

As usual, I also have the infrared images of the individual measurements ready:

Noise emission: fan speeds and sound pressure levels

With the 35.4 dB(A) of the reproduced speeds from the measurement in the closed housing, you can live more than just worry-free. That’s quiet, super-quiet. For performances beyond 200 watts, this result is truly remarkable and commendable. The very slight chirping of the ferrit-core cicadas can be easily painful. Some electrical noise is always present due to the design, unfortunately.

Idle
812 rpm or fan stop (BIOS 1/2)
Gaming Loop Closed Case
1367 rpm
Torture Loop Closed Case
1380 rpm
Sound pressure level Max. A-rated
35.4 dB(A)

Here again the frequency band analysis of the measurement in the laboratory
