Test 1: Graphics settings (1080p max. settings, RTX Ultra, DLSS balance)
I tested again on a private multiplayer map: Armada!
It repeats exactly what we saw in CoD MW or in Overwatch at that point. We are running mercilessly into a CPU limit.
Test 2: Graphics settings (1440p max. settings, RTX Ultra, DLSS balance)
That really surprised me. These settings and still in the CPU limit? With these graphics settings I walked over the map for a while and looked at the details RTX on/off and DLSS. Yes, it remains a matter of taste, but honestly? Personally, I liked it. This will be the future of gaming! It’s a shame that the current cards still belong to the mythical creatures. Hardware unavailable!
I’ll cut it short at this point. Even just disabling DLSS wasn’t enough to force the RTX 3080 fully into the GPU limit. So I’ll spare you another slide without Reflex coming out of the woodwork. It really knocked all the cups out of my cupboard. Well, now my wife can put glasses in!
Test 3: Graphics settings (1440p max settings, RTX Ultra, DLSS off, 150% render scaling)
Let’s put some more powder on the tassel and try to challenge the card a little more.
There you go! You’ll probably be able to bring an RTX 3080 to its knees. Thanks to Reflex and Boost the latency could be reduced by 14%.
