The market for graphics cards is now gigantic and the choice is almost endless. One card follows the next and new ones are launched every year. For the end user, the choice is not easy. The title AI appears everywhere in the names of graphics cards, but ASRock has launched a new graphics card that is a little older and takes the potential buyer back to the old days. Specifically, it’s the new AMD Radeon RX 6500 XT Phantom Gaming. Almost forgotten? Never mind, here comes the refresher!
Even though this card has now been on the market for 2 years, ASRock is releasing an OC version to perhaps attract one or two customers with this card, which they recently launched. A black graphics card with 8 GB GDDR6 memory and a 64-bit bus interface is expected. The memory throughput is therefore 18 Gbps. The base clock is 2420 MHz, while the boost clock can be increased up to 2825 MHz. That would be a breathtaking 10 MHz more than the standard card. The clock rate for gaming is 2685 MHz. The selection of connections, on the other hand, is rather limited. Here, you can expect an HDMI 2.1 and a Displayport 1.4a connection. The card measures 240 x 129 x 42 mm. The fans are a normal dual-fan design. To be more precise, the usual axial fans have been installed in this graphics card.
However, if you wanted who purchase this card is welcome to do so. Although, you will have to dig a little deeper into your pocket to buy ASRocks MD Radeon RX 6500 XT Phantom Gaming. The company behind of this new card does not explicitly state how much the AMD Radeon RX 6500 XT Phantom Gaming costs, retailers put the card at around 188.84 euros. Actually, far too much for such a Methuselah.
