Ninkear presents its new MBOX 8 Pro Mini-PC – Modular and expandable

The world of mini PCs is constantly growing, and the range on offer to customers is becoming ever more diverse and even larger. But with so much to choose from, which model is the best choice? The MBOX 8 Pro Mini PC could be an interesting option, as it offers a unique feature: it is modular and can be flexibly adapted.

The mini PC is equipped with an AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS. This processor is equipped with 8 cores and 16 threads and has reached a maximum boost clock of 5.1 GHz. In addition, 32 GB DDR5 RAM with a speed of 6400 MT/s and a 1 TB PCIe 3.0 SSD, which is designed to enable fast loading times and high data transfer rates, are used.

An interesting feature of the MBOX 8 Pro is the modular design that this mini PC offers. The upper part of the device, also known as the host here, can be used as a stand-alone PC. However, it is possible to expand the system with so-called expansion packs. These additional modules are attached via magnetic connection ports, which enables a stable and simple connection. The host itself has two USB-C ports, a power button and an integrated network card with WiFi 6 and Bluetooth. There are no other connections, so it makes sense to add the expansion module. However, it is not 100% clear whether the upper part can really be used as a “standalone” version.

The expansion module offers additional interfaces for more connection options. It has two Ethernet ports, one HDMI and one DisplayPort connection as well as two USB 3.0 and two USB 2.0 ports. You can also install an additional SSD to expand your memory.

The MBOX 8 Pro Mini-PC has a size of 99mm and 65mm and is therefore relatively compact and should fit on any desk. It is a very interesting design from the company and perhaps it will convince one or two people to give it a try. The Mini-PC currently costs 649.99 euros and can be purchased via their webshop, for example.
