As Frank Azor (Chief Architect of Gaming Solutions at AMD) confirmed today, AMD will release a (long-awaited) new driver for the Radeon 6000 series (and older models) within 2 weeks. It will be the first release in more than 2 months.
AMD’s software team has focused on the Radeon RX 7000 series since the introduction of the new desktop RDNA3 architecture. The two RX 7900 models have received four consecutive drivers since the end of November, while the RX 6000 series has not received any updates in that time. AMD will release a new driver for older GPUs in the next two weeks, unless the team encounters issues. When asked if this is a unified driver for RDNA3/RDNA2 GPUs, Frank Azor only confirmed that the company’s goal is the unified driver strategy.
We're working on new @amdradeon drivers for 6000 series and prior gen cards. Aiming to release them within the next 2 weeks. Will provide another update if we run into any delays and as we get closer to posting them. Thank you for your patience

It is not entirely clear why the RX 6000 GPUs have not received a new driver for so long. Especially because jy company is relatively proud of its progress in software development. In 2021, AMD has released more driver updates than NVIDIA:
Radeon RX 6000 users can use the 22.11.2 driver in the meantime, which is a WHQL version. If you have any problems with this version, it is possible to contact the AMD software team so that they can solve the problem immediately.
