MSI presents its first 32-inch curved 240Hz QD-OLED gaming monitor

MSI has already released a number of products in the past, including mainboards, handhelds and graphics cards. The company also offers interesting options in the monitor sector, which have already found a place in some people’s homes. MSI is now presenting its first 32-inch curved QD-OLED gaming monitor with a refresh rate of 240Hz.

The new MSI MPG321CURX gaming monitor is designed to take the gaming experience to a new level. MSI promises vivid colors, deep blacks and bright whites, combined with a 1700R curvature. The monitor supports a maximum refresh rate of 240Hz and a response time of just 0.03 ms, which should enable precise and clear work. A USB Type-C port with 98W power is also integrated. The advanced functions such as KVM, HDMI 2.1, MSI Gaming Intelligence and VESA ClearMR 13000 are primarily aimed at demanding gamers.

The monitor also offers comprehensive protection functions. These include the integrated Pixel Shift technology, which prevents pixel burn-in by regularly updating and shifting pixels. The Panel Protect function protects the OLED panel and extends its lifespan with an automatic pixel refresh that is activated after four hours of operation. A notification informs the user when the refresh needs to be carried out, although this message can be ignored for up to 16 hours before the system forces the refresh to be carried out. In addition, Static Screen Detection recognizes static image content and automatically reduces the brightness to minimize the risk of burn-in effects. As soon as movement is detected on the screen again, the brightness is automatically increased. This function can be adjusted in the settings.

The monitor also features MSI OLED Care 2.0, which includes additional protection functions such as Multi Logo Detection, Taskbar Detection and Boundary Detection to further reduce the risk of burn-in. MSI’s QD OLED panels are also equipped with a graphene layer and a special heat sink that enables exceptional heat dissipation. This allows for a fanless design that ensures quiet and efficient cooling and extends the panel’s lifespan.

In addition, MSI has unveiled further monitors that are due to be launched soon. These models are:

• MPG 341CQPX QD-OLED, UWQHD, 240 Hz, 0.03ms GTG
• MPG 321CURX QD-OLED, UHD 4K, 240Hz, 0.03ms GtG
• MAG 321CUP QD-OLED, UHD 4K, 165 Hz, 0.03ms GTG

When exactly these products will be available and at what price is still unclear and will certainly vary depending on the region.
