The reason lies in missing drivers for the new, great hardware! And unfortunately you can’t install them because you can’t get into your Windows. Either you create a local account on the old system with admin rights (driver installation!) without a password, which you delete later (a matter of honor) or you use an old WLAN USB stick that does not need any extra drivers. In my case, the new board does offer a 10 Gigabit Ethernet port and WiFi 6E, but without the right drivers, you are and unfortunately remain offline!
My stick is so old that it only has a WPA button, but it doesn’t work on the new router (logical). But you can log in manually after recognizing the stick, because the keyboard works.
