Mainboards from ASRock to MSI and large to tiny

At Computex 2025, ASRock presented an extended range of motherboards for the AMD AM5 socket, which are designed for both enthusiasts and professional users. The new models are based on the current X870E, X870, B850, B840 and A620A chipsets and offer a variety of modern features.

The X870E Taichi OCF is ASRock’s first overclocking-oriented motherboard for the AM5 platform. It is aimed at users looking for maximum performance and stability. The board supports PCIe 5.0, DDR5 RAM and offers extensive cooling options as well as a robust power supply.

With the X870 Taichi Creator, ASRock is targeting professional users and content creators. The motherboard combines an elegant look with features such as USB4, Wi-Fi 7 and several M.2 slots for fast storage solutions.

The Phantom Gaming X870 Nova WiFi is tailored to gamers who value high network speeds and modern connectivity. It offers Wi-Fi 7, 5GbE LAN and support for the latest AMD processors.

For the mainstream market, ASRock offers the B850 Steel Legend WiFi. This ATX mainboard supports DDR5 RAM, PCIe 5.0 and features Wi-Fi 7 as well as a variety of USB ports. It is suitable for users looking for a good balance between price and performance.

In addition to the models mentioned above, ASRock also presented other motherboards, including variants with the B840 and A620A chipset, which are aimed at beginners and users with basic requirements. These boards offer solid performance and modern features at an attractive price.

Mini-ITX – The power of the dwarves

At Computex 2025 in Taipei, ASRock and MSI presented new Mini-ITX mainboards that are characterized by their compact design and modern technologies. ASRock presented the H810TM-ITX, a thin mini-ITX motherboard designed for space-saving applications such as all-in-one PCs and mini PCs.

It supports Intel processors and offers comprehensive connectivity options despite its compact dimensions. The DeskMini X600/USB4 was also introduced, a mini PC that supports AMD AM5 series processors and is equipped with USB4 connectivity. These models underline ASRock’s focus on energy-efficient and powerful solutions for various areas of application.

MSI presented the mini-ITX mainboards MPG X870I EDGE TI WIFI, MPG B850I EDGE TI WIFI and MPG B860I EDGE TI WIFI. The MPG X870I EDGE TI WIFI supports AMD’s Ryzen processors and offers features such as Wi-Fi 7, PCIe 5.0 and USB 40G. The MPG B850I and B860I EDGE TI WIFI models are aimed at users who value modern connectivity and a compact design. Particularly noteworthy is MSI’s 5-in-1 Xpander card, which offers additional connectivity options such as an additional M.2 slot, USB ports and SATA ports, thus improving the expandability of the mini-ITX systems.
