Spring has now arrived here and with it the first blooming of the cherry blossoms. In keeping with this event, the Chinese company Zephyr has unveiled a brand new graphics card. In a new teaser video on the Chinese platform bilibili, a new, visually unusual graphics card called RTX 4070 Sakura Snow was unveiled. The company Zephyr is known for creating customized custom designs and not paying attention to the latest graphics cards or releasing any of them immediately. Rather the opposite. They also bring “older” versions onto the market with interesting or beautiful designs, which some people like to buy in order to have a chic design.

But what can the new RTX 4070 Sakura Snow from Zephyr do? The card comes with 5,888 CUDA cores and has 12 GB of GDDR6XX video memory, connected via a 192-bit memory interface. The base clock of the RTX 4070 is 1,920 MHz, while the boost clock reaches up to 2,457 MHz. In other words, a relatively solid performance.
The graphics card is relatively compact and small, measuring 176 x 127 x 41 mm, and is cooled by a single 105 mm axial fan, which is installed on the card. The so-called SFF design, which stands for Small Form Factor, should promise efficient cooling performance and thus prevent overheating and subsequent throttling of the card. In terms of connectivity, the RTX 4070 Sakura Snow also has the standard connections. There are three DisplayPort 1.4 outputs and an HDMI 2.1 port.

One particularly interesting detail is the graphics card’s housing, which was CNC-milled from a single block of aluminum. The RTX 4070 Sakura Snow is available immediately and can therefore be purchased. However, it is initially available exclusively for the Chinese market, for example via various e-commerce platforms. The price is around 4,399 RMB, which corresponds to around 552 euros. A somewhat higher price for an “old” card.
