There is now also official extended warranty information for the 13th and 14th generation Intel Core desktop CPUs. It is interesting to note that this offer now also applies to the tray versions. Intel has now published another summary in a community post:
Further to Intel’s earlier announcement regarding a two (2) year warranty extension – from date of purchase, up to a maximum of five (5) years – on Intel Core 13/14 desktop processors, please see below for more details on this program.
- The two (2) year warranty extension to five (5) years from date of purchase applies worldwide
The following processors are covered:
The warranty extension applies to new and previously purchased processors if it is one of the Intel Core 13th/14th Gen SKUs listed above. This warranty coverage applies to all customers worldwide.
Inaddition to boxed processors, the warranty extension also applies to tray processors and processors sold in OEM and system integrator systems.
- Affected customers can make use of the warranty as follows:
- Buyers of boxed processors should contact Intel Customer Support
- Buyers of tray processors should contact the reseller from whom they purchased the tray processor
- Buyers of OEM and system integrator systems should contact the manufacturer of the system
Standard warranty procedures and terms apply, which can be found here: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000024255/processors.html.
For users who are experiencing or have experienced instability symptoms on their Intel Core 13th/14th Gen desktop processors and need to initiate the replacement process: If customers have experienced these instability symptoms on their 13th and/or 14th Gen desktop processors, but have had no success with previous RMAs, we ask that they contact Intel Customer Support for further assistance and remediation.
We thank you for your patience during this process and will continue to provide updates regarding the instability of 13th and 14th generation Intel Core Desktop Processors.
