When price and performance know how to convince: 1More In-Ear Triple Driver BT | igor'sLAB Review

Headphones are a tricky subject when it comes to quality, sound, fit and taste. Hardly any other piece of hardware is as critically questioned as headphones. After all, a number of factors play a part when it comes to finding your favorite headphones.

Battery and standby

Runtime:

The manufacturer specifies 7 hours of running time nominally, be it for communication or even listening to music. During the tests, I nearly reached the running time: Full volume listening to music: 402 minutes. This is close to the running time specified by the manufacturer!

Communication:

Again, the running time was very good 384 minutesm, with a bit of time probably spilled for the tying attempt BT. Nevertheless, the duration specified by the manufacturer is also approximately reached. As with all battery-powered devices, a reduction in the runtime is to be expected, as the individual conditions (environment, ENC, sending/receiving) have their influence on them.

Loading:

At 68 minutes, the charging time is from completely empty to completely only minimally above the manufacturer's specification. Also the promise "10 minutes of charging = 2 hours of music enjoyment" I can sign.
10 minutes of loading even gave me 144 minutes of listening pleasure. That's really not a bad thing.

The battery actually gets almost 5 watts (1A) of charging current in order to get the battery full again quickly! However, the charging current decreases rapidly and adjusts to 2.5 watts (0.5A). In the last quarter, approx. 1 watt (0.2A) completed until the battery is full. Despite USB-C, the battery only obtains a charging voltage of 5V, although it is completely long, but who knows if a high-voltage charge may be used. would have achieved even better results. Nevertheless, here 1More has proven that you don't have to wait an agonizingly long for a full battery.

Strengths and weaknesses

Praise:

Sound-speaking, the headphones are simply top, as the mouse does not bite a thread! From a material point of view, the headphones are far ahead. Premium is expected at the price, which the headphones largely do justice to. The aluminium corpusofes of the Earbuds look classy and as if they were made of one piece. In terms of accessories, the selection of earfitting pieces is simply great. this is neither customary in the industry nor self-evident! The overall picture is almost perfect!
But…

Criticism:

… unfortunately, the cover of the charging port does not convey a premium claim. Of course, 1More has tried to make the whole thing as practical as possible. However, I am afraid that the cover and the fastening will eventually be sucked through and could be lost, which would expose the charging port. Whether 1More then has a replacement solution (silicone cap/plastic cap) is not known. The charging flap is also fiddly, as you have to bend this cover to the side to connect the charging cable and also hold it. This puts additional strain on the suspension of the flap, which is not necessarily conducive to longevity.

The transport bag also does not quite correspond to the price level, but at least fulfils its purpose. A hard case would have been the nonplusultra here. Since the headphones are not IP-specific, it is not recommended to wear in splash-hazardous areas and areas with high humidity. Showers, sauna visits and swimming pool visits are therefore passé!
This is now a high level of mockery, but it should be mentioned.

Overall conclusion:

Not bad, Mr Specht. The 1More Triple Driver In-Ear BT is the first(!) Headphones that made me listen to music at home with in-ears and put the ear sofa aside. Its fit accuracy thanks to the different earfitting pieces and its low dead weight allow comfortable wearing to any situation and the communication ability makes it an Everday Everywhere companion. It is true that the battery life with 7 hours in continuous operation is too short to last a whole (working) day. But the fact that virtually no electricity is burned in standby mode (12h standby require about 10% battery charge) allows the headphones to survive the day. In case of need, you simply have a battery pack with you to give the headphones extra runtime.

Here, each batterypack can hold, as the headphones get a maximum of 5 watts at the connection. That's why I have to give this headphones an unreserved award! For 150€ you get here an adult Bluetooth-In-Ear with communication function, which teaches many over-ears to fear! The money is well invested and not overly high for what is being offered!
