Glorious Core Software
I already introduced you to the Glorious Core software in the GMMK2 review. The software has not changed in principle, but in this article we will present the settings of the mouse. With a good 300MB, the software already clutters up the RAM above average, which is not particularly pleasing.
An overview of the connected and compatible devices is displayed on the start screen. In this case, of course, it is only the representational mouse.
Basics like the language and the startup behavior can be set in the program settings.
Also unspectacular: The mouse settings overview.
The lighting settings include 8 different lighting modes (9 if you count “lighting off”), the speed of the lighting effect and the brightness of the lighting.
All 9 buttons of the mouse can be freely assigned. From mouse functions to regular keyboard commands to macros, there are many customization options available here.
Among other things, the polling rate (sampling rate) and the four DPI gradations can be set in the “Performance section”. Each level can be set between 100 and 19,000 DPI in increments of 50, and the color for each increment (indicated by an LED under the mouse) can be freely set.
Basically, the software is functional and stable, but for the clear range of functions, it is very wasteful with resources.
