Although the word “geil” is often used in German to describe something cool or great, it is not the German adjective that is meant here, but the company Golden Emperor International Ltd (GeIL). This Taiwanese company recently presented its latest CUDIMM and UDIMM DDR5 memory options in a press release, which could actually be “cool” for some customers.
Let’s take a look at these new products. The company’s range covers speeds from 6400MT/s to 8000MT/s and is available in both CUDIMM and UDIMM versions. The aim is to serve every customer who is interested. The company also announced the introduction of two new high-speed variants to give customers more choice and provide “overclocking enthusiasts” with an optimal choice for peak performance. These new options include speeds of 8800MT/s and 9200MT/s, which are new to the market. In addition, the modules are available in different colors, as shown in the attached image.
According to the company, the CUDIMM and UDIMM modules harmonize particularly well with the latest Intel Core Ultra processors of the second series and offer high compatibility and comprehensive support for them. In accordance with the current JEDEC standards, the CUDIMM modules contain a CKD chip (clock driver) that regenerates the clock signal directly on the DIMM. This feature reduces signal loss and noise and improves memory stability and performance, enabling stable speeds of up to 7200MT/s. The CKD chip is critical for signal integrity and reliability in both standard and high performance applications.
The release of the products won’t take too much longer, however, as they plan to start shipping in mid-November. However, a price is not yet available and no further technical specifications have been provided. It therefore remains to be seen.
