Today we’ll take a look at GEEKOM’s mini-PC, which looks very similar to Intel’s NUC systems on the outside, a self-proclaimed new star in the sky of microcomputers. Although they say they were founded in 2003, this is the first system from this brand. So the whole thing is worth a closer look, more on that in the article below.
Packaging and scope of delivery
Packed in a pretty blue cardboard box, the computer reaches me. The manufacturer’s name is announced on a large scale on the top. On the side, a few logos give hints about the components of the content and the view from the back shows some of the connectivity options. A sticker on the back then defines the exact specifications.
Regarding the transport protection, there is no reason for criticism because a thick layer of foam surrounds the IT8. This should also be able to absorb rough impacts well.
The included accessories are a bit more lavish than in the last tested mini-PCs, because besides the manual, VESA mount as well as HDMI cable, a short thank-you note including envelope and a cloth bag are also included.
The nezteil is a HuntKey HKA09019047-6U with 19 volts at 4.74 amps. Maximum output is thus around 90 watts – more than enough for such a system.
Specifications
Here is a brief overview of the key technical data. More information can be found on the product page of the manufacturer.
