Many people are currently dissatisfied with NVIDIA, as the problems are piling up and piling up. Be it missing ROPs or burnt graphics cards – the list is currently longer than NVIDIA imagined. There is also one problem that is really bothering users. This is the black screen problem, which led to some customers being faced with black images. Users who used an RTX 50 graphics card had this problem. Now NVIDIA wants to solve at least this problem in order to curb one of the “teething troubles”.

Let’s take another look at the whole thing in a nutshell: What happened? After a driver update, users with an RTX 50 graphics card began to report that they only saw a black screen when starting their PC and no longer had a display. It is important to note that the problem only occurred with a connection via DisplayPort – other connections worked perfectly. Although there were various solutions, not all of them were successful for everyone affected. However, NVIDIA assured us that they are working on a solution and will provide it in the form of a new driver update.
In the meantime, the company has released another driver update that should fix or at least significantly reduce this problem. After the update, the error should no longer occur so that users can once again receive an unrestricted image signal. Only time will tell whether the problem has actually been completely resolved or whether it still occurs in isolated cases.
NVIDIA has also fixed another problem with the update: Overclocked graphics cards were previously unable to access their full performance and ran below the expected performance. This problem has now also been fixed.
