The Corsair SF1000 is one of the most powerful SFX power supplies currently available on the market. It offers top performance, high efficiency and is also ATX v3.1 compliant. Reason enough for me to once again let my friend Aris from Hardwarebusters have his say (and picture) on our site, as he has not only tested this power supply intensively, but has also officially certified it through his company Cybenetics. As it will certainly be of interest to you, I am happy to offer him the platform to share his findings with you here on a case-by-case basis. And don’t forget, his website and YouTube channel also offer real gems in terms of really well-founded reviews! The power supply is also featured in his article on the best ATX v3.x & PCIe 5.x power supplies.
It was high time that Corsair expanded its SF series with more powerful and ATX v3.1 (SFX12V 4.1) compliant members. The long wait was due to Corsair wanting to ensure that the new SFX power supplies continue the legacy of the previous models, which were among the best in this market segment. The SF1000 is now not only one of the most powerful SFX power supplies on the market today, but also the most powerful. In order to increase efficiency, make the platform more reliable and save money, Corsair decided to eliminate the -12V rail in these power supplies. This was a wise move as no PC part needs this rail anymore, which is a relic of the past. Every power supply manufacturer should get rid of this useless rail as soon as possible. And the price starting at 230 euros is actually almost fair.
