Corsair Qatar Pro Wireless Review – wireless all-rounder mouse for little money

Software

The software is Corsair’s well-known iCUE software, which allows the user to select and manage all connected Corsair products. For Qatar, the first step is of course the profile selection, here profiles can be created, exported, imported and managed.

Next there is the Actions tab including the actions library, here you can change the key assignments and create and manage macros.

Then there is the DPI tab, here you can set three different DPI levels and you can assign your own color to the levels. You can select one of the three levels as default and the current software version still shows a sniper sensitivity, which is not supported by this mouse.

Last but not least there is the Options tab where you can activate a mouse acceleration option and adjust the pointer speed in Windows. And if you click on Settings you will find some settings for sample rate, brightness of the LED, sleep mode, power or energy saving mode and the firmware update for the mouse and the dongle. Furthermore, the dongle can be set to pairing mode to connect new devices.

Summary

Overall, the Qatar Pro Wireless is a fair package for the price, it has flexible connectivity, has an adequate sensor built in, looks great and is relatively well built. Unfortunately I have to deduct a few points for the handling and the keys. The haptics with the missing little finger rest and the strong imbalance of the mouse may be a point of preference and therefore lie in the eyes, or rather in the hands of the user, but I’ve never seen the keys trigger when the mouse is put down in a lively way.

Nevertheless, I would say that the Qatar Wireless Pro is not a bad mouse for the money, because so far I don’t know of any other mouse in the price category that supports both Bluetooth and a dongle, and even with such low latency. And besides, the iCUE software is one of the best on the market. So if you’re looking for an affordable mouse with Bluetooth and dongle connection, the Qatar Pro Wireless could be the right one for you. As long as he doesn’t set it down too hard on the table.
