At 1,000 Hz, the keyboard already achieves an average end-to-end latency of 7.2 ms. Switching to 8,000 Hz lowers the average to 5.9 ms and simultaneously reduces the standard deviation from 2.4 to 2.2 ms. The minimum latency remains unchanged at 3.1 ms. In the 8,000 Hz configuration, the keyboard therefore operates slightly faster and more consistently in testing.
The board also makes a good impression acoustically. Its sound is described as rather soft and subtly “thocky,” without being intrusive or distracting. Overall, the space bar integrates well into the sound profile.
Teardown, material inspection and construction
The CLIPPER PRO MINI 60 uses a conventional construction consisting of a plate-mount design, Hall-Effect PCB and a single damping layer. The PCB is secured in the case with numerous screws. The internal construction therefore largely follows a functional standard and is designed for fast and precise input processing.
Plate-mount stabilizers are installed. The double-shot PBT keycaps are described as solidly made and provide good illumination, but according to the test they offer no particular added value compared with today's standard. Overall, the plastic case conveys a stable impression; Corsair does without an aluminum case.
The special format of the MGX Hyperdrive Core switches is conspicuous. According to the test's assessment, only these switches can be used. No replacement switches are included, and the switches could not be removed with conventional tools. It is therefore assumed that they are permanently installed or possibly soldered; however, this was not verified.
No further disassembly was performed. Consequently, it cannot be conclusively confirmed whether the switches are actually soldered or permanently installed in another way. It was likewise not possible to determine whether the switches are pre-lubricated ex works. The assessment of the internal construction is therefore based on the visible design and use in the delivered condition.
Test conditions and limitations
The sound recording was made in a room measuring 14.5 m². A 2.5 cm-thick wooden board with a 4 mm-thick desk mat served as the surface. The recording was made with an iPhone 17 PRO MAX from a distance of approximately 12 cm to the left of the keyboard.
Latency measurements were performed in wired mode at 1,000 and 8,000 Hz polling rates. Twenty-five measurements were recorded for each configuration. Wireless connections could not be examined because the keyboard offers neither Bluetooth nor a 2.4 GHz connection. The assessment of the switch mounting remains an estimate rather than a confirmed internal inspection because no disassembly was performed.
Assessment
With its 60-percent layout, the CLIPPER PRO MINI 60 is clearly aimed at players who prefer a compact keyboard with more room for mouse movements. Compared with larger full-size and TKL models, it takes up considerably less space, but omits separate function keys, the number pad and the navigation block. Many of these functions remain accessible via the FN layer.
In the wired comparison, the keyboard ranks at the top of the test's previous measurements for measured input latency. The combination of an 8,000 Hz polling rate, Rapid Trigger and individually adjustable actuation points is specifically geared toward fast gaming inputs. The functional internal construction, however, does not differ significantly from comparable keyboards.

With the CLIPPER PRO MINI 60, Corsair is expanding its gaming portfolio with an especially compact 60-percent keyboard clearly aimed at ambitious gamers. While Full-Size and TKL models have dominated the manufacturer’s range in recent years, Corsair is now consistently focusing on a space-saving format without foregoing modern Hall-Effect technology or current gaming features. Compact keyboards are becoming increasingly popular, particularly in the competitive sector, as they provide more freedom of movement for the mouse while still offering all the important functions required for fast in-game inputs.
The centerpiece of the CLIPPER PRO MINI 60 is the new magnetic MGX Hyperdrive Core switches. Unlike conventional mechanical switches, keystrokes are detected without physical contact using Hall-Effect technology. This allows the actuation point of each individual key to be adjusted between 0.2 and 3.8 millimeters. This is complemented by modern functions such as Rapid Trigger, Multi-Action, Smart Tap, Tap Lock, and FlashTap SOCD, making the keyboard particularly suitable for gamers who want to adjust their inputs as precisely and individually as possible. At the same time, Corsair promises a lifespan of up to 100 million actuations per switch.
Corsair also relies on current technology for signal processing. With a polling rate of up to 8,000 Hz, the CLIPPER PRO MINI 60 is intended to transmit inputs to the PC particularly quickly and thereby reduce input latency to a minimum. This is complemented by full N-key rollover, 100 percent anti-ghosting, and an 8 MB onboard memory that can store up to five profiles directly on the keyboard. As a result, all settings are retained even without installed software and can be used on other systems at any time.
In addition to performance, robustness also plays an important role. The CLIPPER PRO MINI 60 features an IP57-certified construction and is therefore protected against dust and temporary water ingress. This provides an additional advantage, particularly in everyday gaming use, and distinguishes the keyboard from many competing models. Despite its compact dimensions, Corsair also does not omit height-adjustable feet, a braided USB-C cable, or fully customizable RGB lighting. Introduction & Unboxing
The packaging follows Corsair’s typical black-and-yellow design. The front features an image of the keyboard with RGB lighting activated. The most important features, such as Hall Effect Switches, an 8,000 Hz polling rate, IP57 certification, and the MGX Hyperdrive Switches, are also highlighted.
The back of the packaging contains a multilingual overview of the most important functions. These include the magnetic MGX Hyperdrive Switches, 8,000 Hz Hyper-Polling technology, the Hall-Effect software functions, and IP57 certification against dust and splash water. The technical information, QR codes, and product identification are located in the lower section.
After opening the packaging, the keyboard is enclosed in a protective fabric sleeve and additionally sealed with a Corsair sticker. The package also contains safety and compliance information, as well as additional accessories stored separately in a black cardboard box.
The Clipper Pro Mini 60 uses a compact 60-percent layout with a German key arrangement. The two-tone black and light-gray keycaps and the wide white spacebar are particularly noticeable. The simple design omits additional controls and focuses entirely on the compact layout.
The underside of the keyboard has a simple design and consists of a black housing. Four large rubber feet ensure a secure stance. In addition, two fold-out feet are provided to adjust the keyboard’s angle. The Corsair logo and the product label with product information are located in the center.
The front of the housing has a simple design and bears only the Corsair lettering. The USB-C port for wired operation and connection of the included USB cable is located on the right side. The flat housing emphasizes the keyboard’s compact design.
The accessories are deliberately limited. The package includes a detachable, black-sheathed USB-C-to-USB-A cable and a multilingual safety and information booklet. The cable is held together with a Velcro strap and has reinforced connector housings.
The accessories are, of course, extremely limited, but that is acceptable.
