Corsair 7000D Airflow Review – elegance and function on a grand scale

iCUE Software

The iCUE software is responsible for the configuration of the lighting in Corsair’s product portfolio, which can also communicate with many other RGB systems and thus fully supports the ASUS board in question, for example. After starting the software, you will be taken to the main menu, which lists all compatible devices, displays the most important sensor data that can be read out and allows you to quickly switch between the profiles and scenes that can be created.

Selecting the ASUS board gives access to all configurable lighting areas of the motherboard.

Cool: By creating multiple layers of lighting, each individual area can be configured separately, and while ASUS’ own AURA software for this motherboard can only configure all areas separately for static lighting, iCUE can even put a separate effect on each area. For example, the board can glow in rainbow colors while a connected RGB strip glows in a static color.

The Lighting Node Pro can also be controlled very extensively. Although it has only two channels, which can then address e.g. by means of RGB Hub each 6 fans or several components connected as “daisy chain”, innumerable effects can be realized.

Here, too, almost every detail can be defined and configured individually.

The readable sensor data can be flexibly placed on a dashboard, so you always have everything in view, and some external programs can be integrated, such as the popular wallpaper engine.

If a Commander Pro module is available, the water pump and fans can also be conveniently controlled via the iCUE software.
