As always, we’ll look at the synthetic benchmarks first, with a few new additions today, by popular demand from the community, but more on that on the next page. As always, each benchmark is run 3 times and the best result is used to eliminate any run to run variances as much as possible.
Let’s start as usual with Linpack Xtreme, where the bandwidth and thus the clock rate are the most important factors for the result. Accordingly, the Vengeance RGB kit with its rather conservative XMP profile is placed in the midfield here. With manual overclocking, it is still possible to achieve second place behind the G.Skill 6400c32 modules.
In the AIDA64 bandwidth tests, the ranking can effectively be read from the clock rate and the primary timings, and when the subtimings are optimized, there is another decent boost, so the manually optimized config is naturally in first place.
In the latency test, the results also behave as expected. Even with manual overclocking, the Samsung 16 Gbit B-Die based Vengeance modules do not manage to undercut the DDR4 config. So far, only the fastest Hynix 16 Gbit M-Die DDR5 kits achieve this.
The performance is also good in Geekbench 3 with just under 11000 points in XMP and thus reach a place in the upper midfield again. A big performance boost can be achieved by manually optimized subtimings, so that the 13000 point mark is clearly reached. The fastest DDR5 overclockings are still just under 1000 points away, but the OC potential of the Corsair modules doesn’t have to hide at all.
