Colorful presents its new DDR5 CUDIMM, which can be overclocked up to 10,000 MT/s

Speed plays a central role in today’s world. Companies are therefore increasingly setting themselves the goal of overcoming performance limits and developing even faster solutions, which can also be seen in RAM. The Chinese company Colorful recently presented its new DDR5 CUDIMM memory, which is designed to achieve speeds of up to 10,000 MT/s.

This memory comes from Colorful’s “Shadow” series and is available in a configuration of 24*2 GB. According to the company, the memory has XMP specifications of 9600C44 at 1.5V and 9200C46 at 1.45V. It is optimized for Intel’s latest Z890 mainboards. In CPU-Z tests, an impressive clock frequency of 5000.3 MHz, corresponding to 10,000 MT/s, was achieved. However, other companies are also working on achieving such speeds. Accordingly, some companies have already announced that they are working on memory that should reach a speed of up to 9600 MT/s and later also the 10,000 MT/s mark.

According to Colorful, lower voltage and improved stability will enable the frequency limits to be broken. This also gives “normal” users the chance to achieve stable high-frequency overclocking.

In addition, it is equipped with the widely recognized OCPMIC solution, which helps overclocking enthusiasts with lower voltage and better stability to break through the frequency limit, and normal users can also achieve stable high-frequency overclocking. The new “Shadow” series products will be released in the period of Double Eleven. In addition to the CUDIMM specifications just mentioned, there will also be high-performance UDIMM specifications covering 6400 to 9600 MT/s, with capacities ranging from 16G to 48G.

However, Colorful has not yet named any final technical specifications or a price. However, delivery is scheduled to start on November 11, 2024. We are curious to see how these memories with such high speeds will prove themselves and what impact these new memories will have on games.
