The CH260 and CH270 DIGITAL enclosure models are further developments of the compact ITX enclosures CH160 and CH170 DIGITAL. They adopt their permeable ventilation concept and expand it to include a larger form factor design with improved compatibility with standard components and an extended range of functions. Compared to its ITX predecessors, the new series is primarily aimed at users who want to integrate more powerful hardware in a structure that is as compact as possible but also well-ventilated.
The case format of the CH260 and CH270 models allows the installation of graphics cards with a length of up to 388 mm; by eliminating the front fan, this value can be increased to up to 413 mm. ATX power supplies with standard dimensions are also supported. A modular mounting bracket for the GPU or power supply unit allows tool-free access and simplifies both initial assembly and subsequent changes to the system.
Several options are provided for cooling the installed components: In addition to a 360 mm radiator that can be mounted on the top, air coolers with a maximum height of 174 mm can be used. The construction is designed for high air permeability, thanks to several mesh surfaces on the sides, top and front. In addition, a total of three removable dust filters are used to reduce maintenance and ensure a low-dust environment for the hardware.
The I/O panel of the housing is located in the front section and includes two USB 3.0 ports, a USB-C port in accordance with the Gen2 specification and a combined 3.5 mm jack socket for headphones and microphone. The USB-C port also supports fast charging functions, provided the connected mainboard allows this.
The CH270 DIGITAL model differs from the CH260 primarily in terms of an additional feature: a vertical stand with an integrated digital display surface. This can be used to display real-time information on the temperature and utilization of the CPU, GPU or power supply. Switching between the display modes is done via an easily accessible button on the front of the housing. The digital display uses a monochrome LED panel with configurable brightness. A separate software tool for further customization is not required, as the display communicates directly with the corresponding sensors of the mainboard or power supply unit, provided there is compatibility with the common telemetry protocols.
