The Taiwanese company Biostar presented its new flagship mainboard, the X870E VALKYRIE, yesterday. The model has a stylish design and is designed to support AMD’s latest processor series, the Ryzen 9000 series, among others. But before you can form an opinion, let’s take a look at the technical specifications.

As already mentioned, the motherboard is designed exclusively for AMD processors with the AM5 socket and also supports the latest generation, the Ryzen 9000 series with Zen 5 technology. Measuring 24.4 cm x 30.5 cm, Biostar promises exceptional features and functions aimed at gamers, content creators and PC enthusiasts alike. The X870E VALKYRIE is designed for up to 192 GB DDR5 memory and PCIe 5.0 technology. According to the company, this should ensure smooth, high-speed performance even for demanding tasks such as generative AI calculations. It also supports both AMD EXPO and Intel XMP technologies.
The mainboard has two PCIe 5.0 x16 and one PCIe 4.0 x16 slot. There are also six SATA III ports, one M.2 (PCIe Gen5 x4) and three M.2 (PCIe Gen4 x4) slots, which offer sufficient storage options. A 22-phase and 110 A Dr. MOS power design is intended to ensure constant performance for sustained high-performance applications. Two USB 4.0 Type-C ports are said to deliver transfer speeds of up to 40 Gbps, while eight USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A ports are available. A Realtek ALC1220 7.1 Channel HD Audio Codec with Premium Gold Audio Caps provides the sound, and a Realtek 2.5G Ethernet LAN chip is also integrated. 1 x HDMI (HDMI 2.1) and 1 x Displayport (DP1.4) are also specified as connections.

The company has not yet announced when the new motherboard will appear on the market and what the price will be. It therefore remains to be seen until this announcement follows. But as we all know, variety stimulates business….
